Margaret Fleming 60 years working in the Post Office

Margaret Fleming
Margaret Fleming left school and joined Duns Post Office in December 1959.
She moved to Selkirk 1984 and took up new role of Post Master. In
1987 she moved to Hawick as Branch Manager. But in 1993 the branch closed due to the split of Royal Mail and Post Office Counters. she then took up the role of manager in sun post office within Safeway in Hawick.
In 2004 she retired and went part time working in Selkirk Branch for Marbeth Weatherup till her retirement. And when Caroline Penman and Leanne Main took on the Selkirk Branch in October 2016 Margret joined their team on a part time basis. Caroline said “Margaret is an great asset to our business the extent of her knowledge is endless and she is a well known face to many of our customers. We are delighted that Margaret is celebrating her 60th year working within the post office with us, a huge achievement and one she should be extremely proud off. Here’s to Margaret and the many many years of service she has given to the Borders Community".
