Selkirk Silver Band Wake Up Souters to the New Year

Selkirk Silver Band in Selkirk Market place at Noon on New Years Day.

Selkirk Silver Band were out in force on New years day in Selkirk to make sure Souters woke up to the New Year to the sound of the Selkirk Silver Band.
The band got their annual tour of the town under way at Elm Park before moving on to Thornfield Nursing Home then on to Mungo Park Court (The Bield). Following a short visit in to the Bield the band marched along Selkirk High Street in to Selkirk Market Place where they were welcomed by a good turn out of townsfolks and visitors. Selkirk Chamber of Trade provided a dram to those present and the nibbles were provided by Selkirk Deli. Following a few tunes the band moved on to Souter Court before finishing of in Selkirk Conservative Club. This is a great gesture by the Silver band ensuring that lots of elderly residents of the town are able to hear the band at the start of the year.
